8th Annual T-Town Rumble Award Categories – August 26th, 2017

The reigning "King of the Rumble" is Don & Marilyn Bailey's 2012 Ford Shelby GT 500. It will be displayed in a place of honor at this year's show and will be the first of many Kings to be honored on the "King of the Rumble" Trophy!

The first “King of the Rumble” was Vergil Dawson’s 1930 Ford Pick-Up. It is the first of many “Kings” to be named on the perpetual “King of the Rumble” Trophy!

With over 40 Awards in almost 20 Classes, the chances of walking away from Tehachapi’s T-Town Rumble with a prize is pretty good!

Judged Categories Include First Place with 1st and 2nd Runners Up in the following: Pre-1939 1940’s 1950’s 1960’s 1970’s 1980’s & Beyond and of course… The King of the Rumble (Best in Show) Click Here for Judging Guidelines

Voted Awards include the popular “People’s Choice” which is chosen by those who have come to enjoy the show (so invite your friends!!) Show Participants get to vote on categories such as “Best Paint,” “Coolest Cars,” “Best Trucks,” “Immaculate Engine” as well as the “Under Construction” (or “Work in Progress”) and “Odd Rod” winners. Beside being a wonderful Car Show, the T-Town Rumble is a fundraising event for Heritage Oak School. Consequently, we’ll have a “Teacher’s Choice” award and Runner Up voted by, of course, teachers. There are also “Kid’s Choice” awards and because the show is held at a church, there is a “Preacher’s Choice” too.

The 8th Rumble will also have a Long Distance Award for the vehicle driven to show on show day from the furthest distance. And this year we’ll will be honoring Car Club Participation with an award. Clubs that are coming from “off the mountain” don’t need to worry, we’ll have 2 Awards to guarantee that the home town club doesn’t just walk away with it!

We’ve gladly served the Tehachapi Car Community for over 8 years now, we now hope to serve the Bakersfield Car Show community as well as our Antelope Valley friends in Palmdale, Lancaster, Rosamond, Cal City and Ridgecrest. And we haven’t forgotten our friends in the Apple Valley cities of Victorville and Hesperia! Remember, a Car Show without You is just a Parking Lot.
